Abstract

A significant aspect of acoustical holography is the three-dimensional optical reconstruction of insonified objects. Particularly in medical diagnosis, where one-dimensional and two-dimensional imaging techniques, principally the A-scan and B-scan, are already in clinical use for the examination of internal body organs [1], a three-dimensional reconstruction would be of major importance.
