Abstract

A significant number of patients (40%) with colorectal cancer will eventually develop hepatic metastases. Although curative treatment by resection is possible, this option is only eligible in about 15% of the patients. Therefore, other techniques to treat unresectable liver metastases have gained more and more interest.
