Abstract
The free radical generation in polymer oxidation is a result of chain initiation in the interaction of non-oxidized monomeric units of polymer or admixtures to it with oxygen, and of chain branching in the secondary reactions of oxidation intermediates.1 In the developed reaction the rate of chain branching is proportional to the concentration of free radicals RO2 (x), the chain termination proceeds in interaction of free radicals or in their reactions with inhibitors (IH)
