Abstract
Teleroentgen therapy (Schirren 1955, 1959 b) is used for the treatment of the entire body surface, particularly in chronic generalized dermatoses. The advantages of the method may be summarized as follows (Gold-schmidt 1962; Lukacs and Goldschmidt, in press):
-
1.
The radiation dose exerts its full effect on the pathologic process; the skin is irradiated uniformly.
-
2.
The rapid falloff of the radiation protects normal underlying tissue.
-
3.
There are no systemic effects.
