Abstract
Let the middle surface of a flat plate of thickness 2h contain the Cartesian axes Ox and Oy. The bounding surfaces are the two faces at z = ±h, and the cylindrical surface defined by a closed directrix c lying in the middle surface. The thickness 2h is assumed to be small compared with the transverse dimensions.
