Abstract
In this final chapter we will briefly mention some studies of facial appearance that do not readily fit in with the organization of the previous chapters. We then discuss what is meant (so far as is known) by facial attractiveness. The possible influences of individual perceiver differences and context effects on reactions to faces are mentioned. An overview is then presented of the theoretical explanations that have been put forward to account for some of the findings mentioned in this book. This chapter ends with some further suggestions for future research.
