Abstract
All SBus cards must contain an ID PROM that minimally contains a “name” attribute. The ID PROM may optionally contain a number of other attributes, as well as device-specific firmware that can help to install or diagnose the card. The structure of the attributes and code contained within the ID PROM is defined by the Open Boot Architecture, which was developed in conjunction with the SBus.
