Abstract
The hybrid dynamical systems (HDS) of interest in this book are those that involve the interaction of discrete and continuous dynamics. These systems typically contain variables that take values from a continuous set (usually, the set of real numbers) and also variables that take values from a discrete set (e.g., the set of symbols {qi, q2,…, qn}).
