Abstract
Between the production of sand and its deposition and diagenesis is its dispersal. Questions we can ask about dispersal concern possible modifications imprinted on the sand by the transport process (textural and compositional changes due to abrasion and sorting), the agent of transport, and the distance and direction of transport.
