Abstract
In a networked environment, the efficient and cost-effective provision of health care requires comprehensive clinical decision support/expert systems that can access and evaluate patient data across clinical services. Such clinical decision support systems enable clinical alerts, realtime order checking, diagnosis support, cost reduction, and research/quality assurance queries.
