Abstract
In this chapter, we discuss Markovian queuing systems with batch arrivals. The system is similar to the one-queue system discussed in Chapter 1 except that the arrival process is not a simple Poisson process. This kind of queuing system occurs in many applications, for example telecommunication networks [94] and the loading dock models [102].
