Abstract
We introduce an object-oriented extension to Z, providing further means to modularize specifications than the schemas and schema calculus in the original formalism.
A simple and powerful treatment of messages and inheritance in the model presented herein gives it an edge over existing proposals for modularization in Z.
The presentation is mostly informal and the mechanism is exemplified by giving a modular, object-oriented specification of a simple scheduler.
