Abstract
In essence, the materials that are described in the previous chapters are sufficient for most engineering applications. Not only are they covered in depth, but a wide spectrum of GA knowledge for tackling problems that are difficult to solve by other techniques is given. To demonstrate each special characteristic of the GA individually is not easy, and sometimes these have been combined together in order to obtain the required solutions. Therefore, the purpose of this chapter is to consider three special case studies in which the main features of the GA are outlined. It is also hoped that the advantages of using GA for engineering designs can be highlighted and used as a reference for designing future systems.
