Abstract
The primary BANTAM map documents provide a comprehensive mechanism for defining and describing the various operational processes and systems functionality, which together constitute a biometric, token technology or related application. In previous chapters we have described these documents and their purpose, together with an overview of the BANTAM symbol library and how it may be used to create the various BANTAM maps. The methodology described up to now, already provides considerable value in relation to a typical program or individual project. Useful as this may be, we must also think about the bigger picture and how BANTAM may be integrated within your overall program. This may include elements of traditional project management, procurement, training and other areas, depending on the nature of your organization and the scope of the program being undertaken. BANTAM takes these issues into consideration and provides additional support for these key areas if and as required. BANTAM is therefore pertinent throughout all stages of your program, from the original idea, through application development, procurement and on to implementation. In fact, it doesn’t stop there, as you will be able to make use of the BANTAM documentation for both user and administration training purposes, ongoing systems maintenance and support, and much more. Indeed, BANTAM will prove to be a valuable partner for all your biometric or token technology and related projects.
