Energy Policies in the EU Countries

  • Chapter
Energy Policy in the European Union

Part of the book series: The European Union Series ((EUS))

Abstract

Historically there has been very little energy policy cooperation at the European level. Energy policy has been regarded as ‘high politics’ akin to security policy. Since energy is a main factor of production in all economies, its supply is of vital national importance.
