Abstract

Leadership. It has seemed recently that we cannot open a nursing journal without this word leaping out at us. We all seem to want it. Some of us want to provide it. Judging by the debate that goes on in the aforementioned journals, it appears that many people think that nursing needs more of it. But what is this thing called leadership? And what is good or effective nursing leadership?
