Rajab Esfandiari is an associate professor of applied linguistics at Imam Khomeini International University in Qazvin, Iran. His areas of interest, and specialization, include teaching and researching L2 writing, construction of rating scales, and EAP teaching and testing. He is widely published in national and international journals, including Assessing Writing, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, JALT Journal, Iranian Journal of Applied Linguistics, Journal of Teaching Language Skills, Issues in Language teaching, Journal of English language Teaching and Learning, and Teaching English Language
