Abstract
Reactions seen only in cosmic rays will be studied by three forward angle, θ<5.7° (|η|>3), detectors at CMS. These detectors look at Čerenkov radiation from quartz fibers embedded in a heavy-metal matrix to deal with the exceptionally large particle fluxes.
