Het vóórkomen van cariës bij kinderen inWest-Europa is in de afgelopen 30 jaar sterk gedaald,maar blijft desondanks nog steeds een omvangrijk probleem. Preventieprogramma’s die via scholen worden uitgevoerd, zouden wellicht een verdere bijdrage kunnen leveren aan het oplossen van dit probleem.
