Ernstige hypoglycemieën en cardiovasculaire complicaties: consequenties voor de behandeling?

Samenvatting

Patiënten met type 1 en type 2 diabetes die met insuline of sulfonylureumderivaten worden behandeld hebben een verhoogd risico op hypoglycemieën. Weliswaar is dat risico bij patiënten met type 1 diabetes het grootst, maar ook patiënten met type 2 diabetes kunnen er mee te maken krijgen.
