Summary
The thermal methods used in the investigation of nickel catalysts are summarized. These materials are nanostructured. Special attention is paid to Raney nickel and magnetic studies, especially to thermomagnetic analysis, which combined with H<Subscript>2</Subscript> TPD (temperature programmed desorption of hydrogen) gave valuable insight into the textural and adsorptive properties of skeletal nickel.
