Abstract
Variations in gain with the least noise figure and noise are the challenging issues for the hybrid amplifier. This is resolved in the proposed model of 400×10 Gb/s superdense wavelength division multiplexing (SD-WDM) system with a channel spacing of 100 GHz. Further, we evaluate the performance in terms of gain, flattened gain, and noise figure, respectively. We achieve the highest gain equal to 38.55 dB and most suitable rating of flattened gain > 20 dB, with a least variation of noise of 0.05 dB employing a dual pumping at 1550 nm (600 mW) and 1555 nm (459 mW) respectively. We also report a least noise figure of −2 dB with the help of a hybrid amplifier without using any cost effective and gain equalizer filter technique.
