Abstract
We design a one-dimensional photonic crystal containing a defect made of twin prisms and study its transmission properties using the transfer matrix method. The incident waves with different wavelengths can be transmitted out at different positions of the last interface of the structure, i.e., one wavelength corresponds to a single export point. Such a structure can be used as a novel dispersion separator. The resolution of this dispersion separator depends on the structure and indices of the twin prisms.
