Retraction Note to: J Bioenerg Biomembr (2017) 49:281–290
The authors have retracted this article [1]. After publication the dye used in this study was analysed by NMR and mass spectroscopy and found not to be acridine yellow, but rather, was identified as thioflavin T. Due to the misidentification of this compound, the conclusions drawn in this article are incorrect.
All authors agree with this retraction.
