1 Correction to: Surveys in Geophysics https://doi.org/10.1007/s10712-018-9499-6s
Our colleague A. P. Nickolaenko has pointed out an unfortunate, and obvious, misprint in our paper. The error is in line 5 of page 12 showing values for s0, which corresponds to the value of the surface conductivity in units of S/m. These values should not be negative. The correct value is
-
s0 = 13.812 for ground
-
or s0 = 13.51 for sea.
In all the calculations presented in the paper, the correct value was used.
We have taken the opportunity to read the paper carefully again, and we wish to make two further clarifications.
-
(i)
On line 2 of the second paragraph of page 8, the ellipse is shown by dots, and not by a thin line.
-
(ii)
Line 2 of the second paragraph of page 12 should read:
the cloud conductivity is the clear air conductivity multiplied by 0.1 at 6 ≤ h ≤ 14 km with linear interpolation …. This multiplier is discussed in Sect. 8.
We apologize to all readers for these errors.
