Abstract
The effect of temperature (5–70°C), viscosity, and the nature of fluid on the hydrodynamic permeability (HDP) coefficient of inorganic ultrafiltration membranes was experimentally studied. The direct influence of fluid viscosity on the HDP coefficient within a high-temperature range, where this coefficient decreases with an increase in temperature, was established. A semiempirical expression for the HDP coefficient of a porous layer was proposed, which made it possible to interpret both monotonous and extremal dependences of the HDP coefficient on temperature for hydrophilic and hydrophobic porous media.
