laser to 2.38 μm has been studied experimentally by using tandem AgGaSe2 and ZnGeP2 crystals. Up to 24 mJ per pulse of 2.38-μm radiation at a 10% overall conversion efficiency has been achieved with a mode-locked pulse format. A computer model was also developed and its predictions are in reasonable agreement with our experimental data.
