Abstract
Laser-polarized xenon can be used to increase the sensitivity of NMR experiments by 4–5 orders of magnitude, enabling numerous applications in physics, chemistry, biology, and medicine. For the production of hyperpolarized (hp) 129Xe, continuous flow pump cells are commonly used. Based on a 3D numerical model consisting of eight partial differential equations [1], we describe the optimization of continuous flow cells with respect to several experimental parameters in this contribution. We also compare our simulations with data from literature.
