Abstract
The stringent 2008 and 2012 Association des Constructeurs Europeens’ Automobiles (ACEA) CO2-emission targets have led to a focus on boosting the gasoline engine as one of the most efficient measures to help reducing passenger car fuel consumption. FEV Motorentechnik in Aachen, Germany has developed an engine which combines fuel economy improvements with superior driving behavior.
