Abstract

In September 2003, Mercedes-Benz started equipping its E-, S-, CL- and SL-Classes with the new 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. The 7G-Tronic reduces fuel consumption and performs gear changes more quickly and more smoothly than existing automatic transmissions.
