Abstract

The trend towards low-emission and fuel-saving vehicles is one of the largest impulses for the developing groups. With regard to engine optimisation, it is necessary to minimize the power consumption of the auxiliary units. At Engineering Center Steyr (ECS), a company belonging to the Magna Steyr group, numerical simulation of the thermal management of vehicles is used to optimise the fuel consumption and thermal comfort of vehicles.
