Abstract
Using force feedback technology, a haptics-based system can simulate sensations such as the feel of a button turning, or a toggle or switch clicking. In an automotive application, it provides a single user interface to replace numerous vehicle function controls, such as dials, buttons and switches, yet still maintains the tactile sensation of each function.
