Using coiled paper in the soot filter production process

Abstract

By applying the ceramic coated paper process, filtration specialist Mann+Hummel has developed a new method of producing diesel particulate filters. Coiled paper elements are used. The new manufacturing method provides greater scope for design and optimises filtration characteristics.
