Abstract

The current situation for automotive suppliers involved in rubber and plastics processing is characterized by decreasing batch sizes, increasing numbers of different components and ever shorter delivery periods. If suppliers are to produce efficiently in spite of these constraints, retooling costs play a key role. Rapid retooling systems from BBG help to dramatically reduce change-over times in production plants.
