Abstract

In this article, development work on routine methods for efficient quality control that has been taking place over the last decade on gas reactivity testing of carbon materials is evaluated. The significance of coke reactivity data for raw material selection is examined, and the impact of the coke reactivity on the anode burning behavior is reviewed.
