Abstract
The isospin properties of the (assumed) millistrong C violation have been investigated. The consequences of a ΔI=0 and ΔI=2 selection rule are discussed for the η → π+πoπ− and η → πo e + e − decays. If the observed charge asymmetry of the η → π+πoπ− is realistic, the C violating 3 π final state is mainly anI=2 eigenstate, produced by a ΔI=2 coupling with a constantsg 2≃10−2. Since theI=0 eigenstate is here very much suppressed by the centrifugal barrier, the ΔI=0 coupling may be much stronger, e.g.g 0>10−1, limited only by the negative results of the η → πo+ e − experiments. So the ΔI=0 dominance of the millistrong C violation, suggested by the indication |ε| > |ε′| in theK o decays, is by no means in contradiction with the observed ΔI=2 character of the η → π+πoπ− asymmetry. The importance of more accurate experiments is emphasized.
Обсуждаются правила отбора с ΔI=0 и ΔI=2 для η → π+πoπ− и для η → πo e + e − распадов.
