Résumé
Le dépistage sérologique de la syphilis doit être pratiqué chez la femme enceinte lors de la première visite prénatale. En menant une analyse économique des tests sérologiques utilisés en Thaïlande, il apparaît que le diagnostic précis par VDRL + TPHA est le processus le moins coûteux. Il constitue de fait une alternative optimale pour les screenings systématiques dans ce pays.
Abstract
Syphilis serology must be determined in pregnant women during the first prenatal visit. An economic analysis of the serological tests used in Thailand indicates that combined VDRL and TPHA testing is the most cost-effective screening protocol. It represents an optimal alternative for systematic screening in that country.
