Summary
Recent progress of data processing applied to ultrasounds made it possible to develop new softwares. US workstations of last generation thus incorporated in their center a genuine computer allowing a very precise treatment of US image. This enabled to work out new images like threedimensional US, the US of contrastharmonic associated with the intravenous injection of US contrast agent and finally even more recently, the elastography. These techniques, currently quite elaborated in percutaneous US, are to be adapted and evaluated in echoendoscopy (EUS).
We will thus approach the threedimensional echoendoscopy successively then the contribution of the US contrast agent to the pancreatic echoendoscopy and finally the elastography guided by endosonography.
