Conclusions

Of the 135 patients studied, 107 were improved clinically, 26 remained unchanged and 2 became worse.

Of 135 patients studied roentgenologically 31 demonstrated delayed cecal emptying time before bran, 16 showed delayed motility while on bran, showing that 15 were improved while on bran. Of 90 patients showing delayed total emptying time before bran, 63 were recorded with delayed motility while on bran, showing that 27 were improved.
