Conclusion
This illustrated editorial’s sole aim is to promote caution. It does not mean to discourage, not in the least. Perduodenoscopic papillotomy is a confirmed improvement, for its risks are less than comparative surgery. The patient’s ease is provided for, hospitalization shorter. But it is a weighty procedure, the justification of which requires the same amount of strict care than surgery used to. Under these circumstances, the unavoidable accidents may be accepted.
