Conclusion
The mode of cell proliferation of the regenerative nodules in experimental rat cirrhosis induced by a choline-deficient diet was clearly different from both of hepatoma cells and regenerative proliferation of hepatic cells after partial hepatectomy.
The DNA content of the regenerative nodule cells showed reduction at the rate of 50% in comparison with that of the cells of the internodular areas.
The histogram of the DNA content of the regenerative nodule cells was pyramid-shaped, whereas that of the internodular areas was twin peak distribution.
