Abstract
Refined conditions for the development of a self-sustaining thermonuclear burning wave in spherical plasma with radial temperature inhomogeneity (i.e., the temperature of the central region of initiation of thermonuclear burning is higher than the temperature of the surrounding fuel) are obtained. These conditions take into account the influence of energy transfer by thermonuclear particles and thermal radiation from surrounding fuel on burning-wave initiation and dynamics. The results are based on numerical Monte Carlo simulations by the TERA computer program describing transfer by bot thermonuclear particles and radiation.
