Abstract
Twelve species of primates occur in the Amazon (Tapajós) National Park. The abundance of these species varies with habitat type and extent of human disturbance. Seasonality of rainfall and river level significantly affect the abundance of primates in seasonally inundated forest but not in upland forest types.
