Summary
Here we propose a fate map of theDrosophila blastoderm based on reconstructions of increasingly aged embryos and on results of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) injections in early gastrula cells. Boundaries of blastoderm anlagen have been extrapolated from size, form and location of the corresponding larval primordia, once these primordia become distinguishable at later embryonic stages.
