Summary
Amperometric titrations of zirconyl chloride with potassium ferrocyanide have been carried out by the dropping mercury electrode at a potential of -1.8 V. The reaction of the two compounds takes place in the ratio of 2∶1 with the formation of (ZrO)2Fe(CN)6. This affords a sensitive method for the estimation of zirconium in zirconyl solutions.
