Summary
A method is described for the determination of 20 trace elements in gold of a qualification of about 4–5 N. The matrix is separated by solvent extraction into methylethylketone/chloroform and the trace elements are determined in the aqueous phase by AAS (flame or graphite furnace). The procedure is optimized as to minimize the number of contamination sources.
