Abstract
The article has investigated regularities of the process of transformation of active carbon into biologically activated carbon in the course of an effective filtration purification of water of 2-chlorophenol. In exploitation of active carbon for more than two years the contribution of the adsorption and biodestructive components to the removal of the target component was marked off. It has been shown that more than 80–85% of chlorophenol is removed biologically after four–five months from the beginning of the process.
