Abstract
The effect of an active solvent such as diethylene glycol on the thermal stability and the rheological and strength properties of epoxy binder was studied. The composition of the binder was optimized according to the Pareto criterion and the optimum content of active solvent was found. Viscosity, ultimate bending strength, and ultimate tensile strength were the parameters used in the optimization process.
