Abstract
This chapter is about the development of higher education expansion in Taiwan as well as the relevant challenges stemming from such development. Taiwan’s higher education system entered the phase of mass higher education in the last decade, during which it also experienced relevant challenges related to increasing unemployment rates and lower income returns of higher education degree holders.
