Abstract
This chapter assesses the extent to which the theoretical-methodological ‘circuit of culture’ approach developed by Stuart Hall (Du Gay et al., 1997; Escosteguy, 2009) sets out fundamental contributions in the building of an extended and necessary research agenda for communication researchers,1 especially for those committed to studying the dynamics and complexity of cultural habits and practices.
